Abstract
Throughout the history of Morocco, it is rare to encounter a prominent scholar who did not demonstrate substantial engagement with the study of grammar and Arabic linguistics. Many of Moroccan scholars played an evident role in developing grammatical and linguistic studies through their well-reasoned views and scholarly debates. Among the scholars who excelled in this tradition is Muḥammad Al-Zarhoonī, whose expertise in grammar reflects a level of mastery characteristic of highly proficient specialists. His scholarly output includes a commentary on al-Ājurrūmīyah, a foundational text in Arabic grammar. This article offers a detailed examination of al-zarhūnī’s commentary, highlighting its methodological features and contributions.
