Abstract

Islam offers a well-rounded and balanced system that defines the rights and duties of women across all spheres of life. The Quran clearly emphasizes the moral and spiritual equality of men and women, recognizing women as essential participants in both family structure and social progress. Islamic teachings strongly support women’s access to education, financial autonomy, and meaningful involvement in community and public life. This study examines the fundamental rights granted to women in Islam, including the right to life, inheritance, education, economic independence, and the freedom to choose a marital partner. It also explores the diverse roles of women as mothers, daughters, wives, sisters, and active members of society. Furthermore, the research highlights women’s participation in key social sectors such as education, healthcare, and governance, underlining their contribution to societal development.Through a comparative analysis of women’s rights in Islam and other religious traditions, this research seeks to challenge prevailing misconceptions and promote a clearer understanding of women’s status in Islam. It also stresses the importance of safeguarding these rights in accordance with authentic Islamic principles and recognizes the vital role women play in building a just and balanced society.
