URDU-BADI-UZ-ZAMAN SAEED NURSI’S TARBIYAH METHODOLOGY: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE RELIGIOUS AND MORAL REFORM OF YOUTH

Abstract

Badi'l-Zaman Saeed Nursi was a true soldier of Islam and a reformer of Turkey who not only saved the faith of children and the elderly from disbelief and atheism, but also created a group of young people who eradicated atheism from the whole of Turkey and revived the religion of Islam in Turkey. For this purpose, Said Nursi's advice to the youth in the Risala -e-Nur is very comprehensive, full of meaning and proverbs. He used metaphors to bring worldly events into line with the teachings of Islam and gave advice in a very attractive manner, such as by involving the youth in preparing for the Hereafter, by likening worldly pleasures to poison, by calling the war of the forces of irreligiousness a greater war than the Great War, by training the youth in gratitude to Allah through the five senses, by admonishing young prisoners to remember Allah in prison, by treating the self-willed soul, and by making illness a means of reform from Allah Almighty. Because of this style of Nursi, the younger generation has been extremely grateful to him along with their devotion and love for him. In this article, an attempt has been made to prove the same methods of Said Nursi from the Quran and Sunnah, by following which Saed Nursi was called the Mujaddid of Turkey.
